Drop down periscope for the MG.34 optical sight. This periscope gives the gunner a few more
inches in which he can take cover when firing the gun on the lafette. It was a pretty useless piece of
kit in reality. It's in quite good condition and with a little effort the over paint can be removed and if
done you should find the 3 letter code and waffenampt stamp on the back of the periscope.

MG.34 flash eliminator soaking container. This was used to soak the eliminator prior to cleaning
in an effort to soften the build up of carbon during the firing of the gum. The container is in very
good condition and still has the leather insert in the lid. On the outer casing there is also a
waffenampt stamp.

MG.34/42 AMMO BOX FOUND IN A RECENT HOUSE CLEARANCE HERE ON THE ISLAND.
I BELIEVE THIS IS ONE OF THE CZECH MADE BOXES WHICH THE GERMANS USED. THE WHITE
PAINTED LETTERING COULD BE REMOVED WITH CAREFUL CLEANING. £25

GERMAN TUNNELS HERE IN JERSEY IN THE LATE 1980'S. ALL SUCH THINGS ARE LONG
GONE THESE DAYS AS THE TUNNELS HAVE BEEN VISITED BY MANY THOUSANDS OF
SOUVENIR HUNTERS. IT IS STILL POSSIBLE TO SEE THE MAKERS MARK ON THE BASE OF
